How to say time in German — informal (gesprochen) and official (offiziell)
जर्मन में समय बताने के दो तरीके हैं: inoffiziell (बोलचाल में) और offiziell (24-घंटे की प्रणाली में, जैसे रेलवे/रेडियो में)।
inoffiziell = colloquial (like saying “quarter to three”), offiziell = 24-hour system used in official announcements, trains, TV.

Prepositions with Time (Zeitangaben):
Use um for clock times: Ich esse um acht Uhr. (I eat at eight.)
Use am for days/parts of day: Der Kurs ist am Vormittag. (The course is in the morning.)
Use von…bis for duration: von 9 bis 13 Uhr (from 9 to 1 o’clock)

1. Zeitangaben: am, um, von … bis
समय बताने के लिए सही Preposition का उपयोग करें: am (दिन/दिन के भाग के लिए), um (घड़ी के समय के लिए), von…bis (अवधि के लिए)।
2. Possessivartikel · मेरा, तुम्हारा, उसका…
Possessivartikel हिंदी के “मेरा/मेरी/मेरे” जैसे होते हैं। जर्मन में ये article के अनुसार बदलते हैं। Singular में ein/kein जैसे endings और Plural में kein/keine जैसे endings।
Possessive articles follow the same endings as ein/eine in singular, and keine in plural. The stem changes based on the person (mein, dein, sein, etc.).
3. Modalverben im Satz (Satzklammer)
Modal verb sentence में दूसरे स्थान पर आता है और main verb (Infinitiv) हमेशा sentence के अंत में जाता है — इसे Satzklammer (sentence bracket) कहते हैं।
The modal verb occupies position 2, while the main verb in infinitive goes to the very end. This creates a “bracket” around the rest of the sentence.
Structure: Subject + MODAL VERB + … + INFINITIVE
Ich muss heute arbeiten. → I must work today.
Wir wollen ins Kino gehen. → We want to go to the cinema.
Die Kinder können Computer spielen. → The children can play computer (games).
